I love finding new ideas and ways that help my marriage. My husband and I work on our marriage every day. If we feel that things are getting a little weird, we check in with each other. We are honest and we are kind. This helps to create a safe place for expressing our thoughts about our marriage. Loving on purpose is the best kind of love a couple can experience. It means doing everything within the context of “I love you and want the best for you”. I know that many couples want that kind of marriage and it can seem so simple yet so hard to accomplish. Yes, it does take work. But the work that results in love is worth all the hard work it takes to get there.
When I decided to become a marriage coach it was back in 2009. My heart broke knowing that couples were divorcing over the smallest things. It was my observations that couples needed an effective method for rekindling their love and began searching out the best methods and tools for teaching couples how to fall back in love. I find that marriage coaching works. Its emphasis is on action and looking ahead. Like making goals and taking the steps to meet those goals. Marriage Coaching is now chosen over marriage counseling because it has such high results.
We have all heard the breakdown: more than 50% of marriages end in divorce and, of the marriages that endure; many partners report discontent and unhappiness. That’s the statistics on a first marriage. But wait…it gets worse. If you are getting married for a second time, there is a 60% – 75% chance you will end up divorced. The success rate of marriage counseling is questioned as couples are still divorcing. Does marriage counseling work? Statistics say, “Only sometimes.” But if you are in crisis and need marriage help right now, “sometimes” isn’t enough. Wouldn’t you rather minimize your risk and participate in a course action that is proactive and goal oriented?
Whether you are coming in individually or with your spouse, your first appointment will include a thorough assessment of your current circumstances. After the first appointment I will continue to meet with you 1-2 times per week with a minimum of 8 meetings. Our work is time-limited. As a result, I will work with you to set goals and to meet them for the most effective and efficient results. At the end of 8 meetings we will evaluate progress and determine the course for further coaching if necessary.
